| 101. The Date I should be working But here I sit sunken in my chair My mind has left my brain And wanders somewhere over there I try to regroup and get in gear But last night really was too great Though I don’t remember much I could swear it was better than a first date We started off with smiles and roses An appetizer and had a cocktail or two We hit the dance floor at twelve o’clock Sometime later I think you lost a shoe Things got foggy mostly in my car That darn gear shift got in the way Then like two teenagers we got in back And started just to kiss and play Before the night was over We did things that make me now blush Aside from being interrupted by the police It really was a great rush But then I lost track of time My memory hasn’t quite recovered Even sex after twenty years is great When there’s a fear of being discovered |
