114. Lust

Temptation surged into my veins
Replacing my blood with tepid regret
Lust embraced my shattered heart
Wounding deeply lovers never met
I wanted, needed, and had to have
She of such perfect beauty
I would push away my dignity and honor
And willingly cast aside my duty
Just to inhale her rich sweet smell
To feel her skin and her hair
I would gladly lose it all
The penalties of which I would not care
Alas my senses did return
I realized my reason to resist
Your vision filled my soul with love
It is because of you I do exist
