| 12. Tears Of Joy Oh tiny little babies that kick inside of me How anxious you seem to get on with your lives If I could read your thoughts, I would surely know That you anticipate your entrance into this exciting world Already you know the pleasures of a gentle caress And the closeness I feel sleeping in your father’s arms You’ve experienced the joys of sipping fine wines and champagnes And tasting a simple burger and the sweetness of fresh fruits By the kicks of your tiny feet, I know the excitement you know When you hear the barks of dogs at play Although you cannot yet see, I know that you yearn to look upon The snow flakes as they drift just outside our windows I can feel the rhythm move through your bodies as our stereo Serenades you with a cornucopia of musical delights I know you appreciate the sweet mutterings of two lovers and All the tenderness that life has to offer when you feel my gaze upon your dwelling Despite all the trials and tribulations that you will one day encounter You already know that I will always be there to watch over you Most of all, you know the love I feel for you when my thoughts drift to you Tears well up in my eyes and slowly fall to my cheeks Oh tiny little babies that kick inside me Know that the tears you will soon shed will bring us nothing but joy |
