| 121. Wanting I once knew a man Joyful and quite jolly A kind and simple soul Successful with but one folly He yearned to love For a maiden he could not find Of much or no beauty He really didn’t mind He dreamed of children At play in the park Of holding hands And taking walks after dark Aside from a family He really didn’t want much A home filled with love A house with a woman’s touch Those who complain life is out there Take stock in what you currently have And try to recall when your mate was so fair Think of those who want what you have You already have what he wants too For life’s simplest happiness Is still available to you |
