| 134. The Ring Did the ring on your finger Ever make you think That your spouse might object If we stopped and had a drink Did the ring on your finger Give you pause to review Your life before I arrived And laid my eyes on you Did the ring on your finger Cause you just some distress When I first kissed your lips And diverted you from marital bliss Did the ring on your finger Remind you of better days When excitement did prevail And never thoughts of errant ways Did the ring on your finger Awaken your lust for pleasure When I entered your sacred place And gave you something more valuable than treasure Did the ring on your finger Finally remind you of your spouse When you realized how lucky you were And returned back to your house |
