| 135. Today Today is just a day When I needed to get away I packed my bags just so Not knowing where I would go I climbed into my car And drove to the local bar I ordered a drink Deciding just to think The thoughts roared inside Wondering if I wanted a bride The pain still seems to linger From the ring once on my finger Although there is nothing to regret It’s still difficult to forget The hurt still beats in my heart Warning me not to start Alas I am in love again Wondering just where to begin After four more doubles I realized life always has troubles So I cast away my fears And ordered the bar a round of beers Later as I entered our house I thanked God you would be my spouse |
