150. I’ve Traveled

I’ve traveled across the globe
In search of wealth and fame

I’ve seen the wonders of the world
And beaten masters at their game

I’ve raised a family in absentia
My phone calls really did no good

My “ex” lamented about my success
I would have been there if I could

I provided the money and the house
And everything they could have asked for

When I finally could make the time
There was no one to greet me at the door

They had all scattered into the wind
Taking all the things that I had given

Had I known what price I paid
I would never had been so driven
