| 158. Stefanie With An “F” Who would have known what we would find When we spelled Stephanie without an “f” in mind? Surely they must see that the “f” causes commotion Especially when misspelling creates such emotion How were we to know that her parents had taken great care To insure that her name would have an “f” stuffed in there? What were they thinking when they gave her the name? Didn’t they know she’d be different just the same? Fun, frolic, feminine, and fabulous are just a few Words that wouldn’t be the same with “ph” in there too Much like how words are made and into print they get How unfortunate it would be if we all never met And so it seems as we venture from day to night That we’ve learned our lesson on what we write So forever we’ll write the “ph” with much care As long as we remember that an “f” belongs there For regardless of where our careers rise and fall Stefanie with an “f” is all that we’ll recall |
