167. Where Would I Be

Where would I be
Had I forgone that drink
The one that scattered
My car all over the road

Where would I be
Had I remembered your face
Before I took that sip
Never to know growing old

Where would I be
If I had but said no
Leaving folly to others
Souls with nothing to lose

Where would I be
If I had just left early
Racing back to your arms
A better choice to choose

Where would I be
When the party ended
Losing my keys
To those of clear thoughts

Where would I be
When life is now over
A discarded corpse lying
Amongst the morgue cots
