| 172. The Enchanted Lake I sailed across the enchanted lake The wind caressing my bare back My sails billowed like majestic clouds Gliding me easily from tack to tack A sailor of not many skills The boat appeared from almost nowhere I could have sworn I was just sick But now I felt free and without a care What had happened I did not know From reclining to sitting I did go The sickness that had taken my life I was cured but I didn’t remember so The skies were filled with a rich dark blue The light was brighter than I could say My heart was caressed and smothered in love Never had I known such a day From the skies such a sight did I see Of beauty beyond my comprehension An angel appeared before my eyes Enchantment replacing apprehension Not a word was spoken as we took flight The boat sailing far into the sky It was now that I knew where I was And no longer would I wonder why |
