| 182. Afar Is it fate that we have never met To share a glass of champagne or wine? Where have you been my long lost love? For without you I’m just biding my time I’ve seen your face in my dreams Of blonde hair or was it red You looked like a angel from above Bringing me happiness as I lay in bed Though I’ve never tasted your lips I’m sure they taste sweeter than honey To have the chance just to kiss you I’d gladly give you my heart and my money Surely you’ve seen me as I stand tall And watch you from outside your door Neither a stalker nor a pest have I been I just learn to be near you some more Alas I’m just here afar all the same Who has loved and adored you before today Though I realize that I would never fit in I pray that hell freezes over some day The time has now come when I must go Having missed another chance to see But I take pleasure in my vicarious life Realizing together we’ll never be |
