| 193. Alcohol Who can deny the things we do When alcohol takes control of our actions To think that a few ounces of liquor or brew Can eliminate inhibition and enhance our attraction Regardless of what we see or read About the dangers of drinking to excess Just take a normal person on a Saturday night And they’ll be doing things they won’t confess We all enjoy the chance to escape The stress and rigors of our day So we visit the local bar or cupboard And permit the “spirits” to come and play For despite the things that could happen Or what we’ll possibly say or do We’ll drink and order another round And gladly save a seat just for you |
