203. Clean

I shook the hand of a stranger one day
A welcome courtesy to a business prospect
Little did I know that my life would change
Due to a situation I would never suspect

We talked and we laughed just a bit
As our conversation went from business to pleasure
But sometime during our enlightening discussion
A smell assailed my nostrils much to my displeasure

I didn’t quite know what to think or do
The aroma was something not very good
But we soon parted and went our ways
I soon forgot to investigate even though I knew I should

So off I went to my local bar stop
My hands dipping into a bowl of nuts
I shared and bought drinks for all my pals
Until I stopped suddenly with a pain in my guts

I don’t quite remember what happened next
Just that I awoke in a hospital room
The doctors told me that I was lucky to be alive
And my return to home wouldn’t be soon

It now appears that the stranger caused this
He hadn’t washed his hands after a restroom call
Our handshake had passed a disease to my body
And I had spread it to everyone at the beer hall

So here is a lesson to all who listen
Please wash your hands after a business scene
For regardless if its of a private or official kind
I encourage you to always keep your hands clean

Some water and soap is all that it really takes
A few moments to freshen your body
Isn’t it better to practice personal hygiene
Then to think you could be eating some potty?
