| 208. The Kindergarten Zoo A dog, a cat, a parrot or two These are things that go to school On special days made to share From tiny children without a care They laugh and they grin with a devilish smile Being good and sitting still for a while They enjoy life and all its pleasures Eagerly sharing their sacred treasures So Rover and Blinky and Kitty too Become visiting members of the kindergarten zoo As parents come with cameras aglare Clicking pictures madly of their child over there But things will end with the blink of an eye And memories of kindergarten will fade as the years go by So remember the lesson you learned while still there That life brings happiness when you bring things to share |
