220. The First Date

I once had a lover
With beautiful blond hair
Who helped me cross the line
Before we had met
I was a good married man
Until with her I did spend time
She saw my gold ring
And ignored all it meant
Showing me her secret delights
She stoked my fires
With her tender ways
Days turned to endless nights
When I did awaken
And remorse did arrive
She just pointed to her front door
The choice was mine
To stay or to leave
My life never to be as before
My decision was hard
But away I did go
Choosing good over the bad
But truth is not kind
When trust is at stake
My spouse became very mad
A short time later
I was free once again
My lover just couldn’t wait
But if I could
No doubt I’d do it again
Just to experience that first date
