| 229. Death If life did end this very day Will you care or fret? Will you be afraid of what follows Or have you not prepared yet? While some may speak of brilliant lights Or angels who guide us away What happens to those with faults Or those with unfinished business today? What if hell does exist Though no one truly knows If you believe in God and Christ Will you be forgiven for your sorrows? There must be a thousand concepts And as many religions that direct Is any one of them really true Or do we just desert our bodies and defect? If death is really so grand Why doesn’t everyone just end their lives now? Is it because we just don’t know Or that life ends sometime somehow? I think I’m ready as best I can If my life were to end today Besides what can you actually do For as with birth you have no say |
