| 258. His Glory Why do preachers sometimes claim They hear the voice of God When their own sorted lives Would make His son sit and sob? If they truly hear His voice Don’t you think we can too? Do you think God really needs agents If he wants to speak to me and you? What is good or even bad Seems to differ among His peoples For we commit war and atrocities Seeking forgiveness beneath church steeples You needn’t sit within a structure To know what He is truly saying Merely read His book page by page Salvation cannot be gained by paying So take some pride in your own life No matter how great or ordinary For we are all important to Him All souls made to serve His glory |
