Sleepless Nights Who could dispute the facts Pregnancy gotten by misbegotten deeds Innocent flirtations turning to sex Forgotten lectures about birds and bees Where was restraint amid rabid hormones Common sense succumbing to the drink One’s future lost in the elixir of music Consequences distorted by the failure to think Too young or too old doesn’t matter When frivolity gives way to delights What had been just minutes of pleasure Will soon turn to sleepless nights |
