261. Summer Rain

Boredom floated across the room
A summer tainted by falling rain
Board games scattered across the floor
Painful reminders to monotony
Frivolity caged within cedar walls
Yearned to escape the wooden prison
Fertile young minds preparing to explode
Restrained only by adolescent conformity
Alas a leader does emerge
Promoting screams of disobedience
A flurry of movement exits the door
Preceded by balls and gloves flying
Though wet and soaked within minutes
The shrill of joy and laughter abound
Childhood memories take root and grow
A summer camp to be remembered
