284. Check Out Angel

A simple smile did steal my heart
There was really nothing I could do
Although I was promised to another
I couldn’t stop thinking about you
Had I known that you did exist
I would gladly have continued my search
But the way it was I settled for less
And now I am headed for some darn church
If only you had come some months ago
When my heart was still engaged in thinking
I wouldn’t now be dressed in a tuxedo
And soon to my knees for vows I’ll be sinking
I realize now it was my stomach’s fault
I had to have a shake and fries
How would I know I’d see a checkout angel
With the biggest super-sized blue eyes
Alas our love does end before it starts
Never will we know a simple kiss
For by tomorrow I’ll be on a diet
Forgoing super-size for marital bliss
