314. Be Aware

Something told me I should have known
As the pain in my stomach did grow
But I assumed I was just overly tired
Never suspecting things I didn’t know
We had been lovers you and I
Passion was created for us two
Yet as years pass such things do fade
Its been over a year since I’ve been with you
Though as friends we are the greatest
Taking great pride in how we act
Yet the distance between us continues to grow
What a shame if we can’t go back
So my spouse please stop your search
For I know that youth is enticing
Though I know that age has been kind to you
Remember everything changes after exchanging a ring
I know that you’ve cheated on me
Please be aware that sex does leave a stain
But I’m willing to forgive if you stop
A wondering soul has nothing to gain
