323. Lonely

They say I’m lonely but I’m not
Though I can count friends on one hand
I love my life and who I am
And am confident in being a solitary man
I have scores of people that I see
Although business is the main reason
We’re friendly enough and go out often
But mostly these times aren’t fun
I live my life mostly in my head
My words breathe life to my soul
I achieve the greatest of thrills
When onto a page my thoughts go
So take counsel those who fret
And worry that my friends are few
Never am I let down by my thoughts
Or have never not liked a word I knew
