330. Summer Nights

Candle light dinners on hot summer nights
Brings images of romance to lovers
Romantic murmurings served as enticing appetizers
Followed by dessert beneath the covers
Exciting encounters create thrills for the heart
The soul’s hunger desiring to be satiated
The twinkle in the eye followed by the smile
Announces the arrival of urges left unabated
Soft whispers of affection stoke lover’s fires
Though chills run down the spine
Rituals as ancient as the feelings inside
If for only tonight I could make you mine
