| 348. The Ceiling The ceiling shattered without a sound No applause arose as the glass did break The years had taken a toll on so many Never knowing the difference they did make From Eden’s tree to quest for power The chains of restraint had been broken No longer a stranger to change or sacrifice Their existence no longer regarded as token They’d given birth to thought and child Their wisdom and wiles had seduced the others Though deemed weaker their strength prevailed They established themselves among their brothers Times have changed as they surely do Mankind no longer to be imprisoned by the ages Women have finally secured their rightful place Our future now to be written on their pages |
