A tarnished reputation cannot be shined
No matter how hard you rub
Once sullied it remains dirty forever
Sticking to you tighter than a glove
Like your clothes it wears on you
Though it can never be cleaned
When people see the person you are
Nothing else of importance needs to be gleaned
Take pride in what you say or do
Know that your actions exceed your spoken phrase
Give in not to foolish proofs of courage
You’ll carry your deeds to your dying days
Remember always to be gracious and kind
No matter how difficult or trying
Speak truthfully and think well of others
For people always know when you’re lying
Go now out into this great big world
No other person is quite like you
Wear yourself proudly and be as you are
Be the person everyone wished they knew
