Why can’t I feel my heart beating
When you approach or go far away
Once you were all that I thought of
No matter the occasion or time of day
You are the reason that I do breathe
My love for you will never change
What has happened that the excitement left me
I feel so all alone and very strange
Is this what happens when we get what we want
No longer needing to strive or fight
If it is I’d prefer to be a failure
