| 382. A Better Day Does pretty mean anything if you have no sight? What definition could it possibly mean? If you cannot look to decide for yourself How could you judge what you haven’t seen? If your ears never heard truly great music Would you understand a much better sound? Could you really discern what was really good Or would you take the opinions of those you hang around? We are such lucky creatures of nature Most of us blessed with many senses for living Yet we base our decisions on what others say Preferring to read, watch, or listen for the opinions we’re given Take heed to live life just for yourself For you have the ability to decide all alone Don’t let others control or rule your life Your opinions never need to be cast in stone So set aside your favorite magazine or TV show And refuse to believe what they are trying to say Look upon all you meet with a wide smile For if you do you’ll always have a much better day |
