| 396. The Curve I should have looked around the curve But my car was going quite fast I loved the feel of the fifth gear And the look of the driver I flew past I had my foot on the gas pedal Pushing the accelerator to the floor I was a pretended racecar driver Urging my metal steed for some more I didn’t see the oncoming car The one that tried to pass into me By the time I realized too late It was the last thing I would see For into the railing my car did crash My brakes never stopping my pace Over the hillside my car did fly Taking me to my final resting place Although the thrill was truly amazing As I plunged into the canyon below I guess this puts and end to my speeding For no longer racing will I go |
