| 397. Peeling My skin began to peel It was an eerie sight I appeared reptilian although I’m not The sun was merciless Attacking every inch of my body I forgot sunscreen because I was hot A simple trip to the beach For just a couple of hours Excitement now turning to pain I wish now for less happiness Today would be different If only it had started to rain My spouse is complaining That I was so stupid For my children are the same Though we are screaming As we peel off the skin I take pleasure in accepting the blame |
