413. Invisible Person

I am the invisible person you don’t see
I work behind the scenes and stars
I’m the one who makes sure everything works
From hotel accommodations to limousine cars
While others bask in the sure perfection
Everything made to fit just so
I’m the one who scurries around quickly
Fixing problems that they’ll never know
Although others smile and take all the credit
Claiming to have managed what was done
I shrug my shoulders and get back to work
Insuring that others enjoy themselves and have fun
Despite the obscurity and being transparent
There is really no place I’d rather be
For I am the one who smiles the most at the last
When they make that big check out to me
