| 426. Never Know I have never known such a beautiful sight Although I’ve seen many an amazing thing Yet this morning I was gifted with such a vision No greater enchantment could my life bring There you stood leaning against my door A picture of beauty that took my breath away You caught me so off guard I couldn’t talk My brain fumbling for something to say Though in my fourth decade I felt sixteen It’s been years since I’ve felt like this While my ears listened I heard not a word It was the sight of you I didn’t want to miss Had things been different I’d drop to one knee You’ve stolen my heart and my soul Alas you left without realizing your affect For my love for you you’ll never know |
