430. Reagan

A single trumpet cried a tearful note
The caisson pulled along by sorrow
The rider-less horse bowed its head
Today changed forever by tomorrow
Flags flew from halfway up masts
No breeze to carry the sound of pain
Heartbroken souls prayed for salvation
Heaven's blessing given by light falling rain
The possession moved in measured step
Each movement a testimony to a passing hero
Time taken and given to mankind
Always in our hearts he does now go
No oratories or words can ever tell
The greatness that passes with the falling sun
A somber farewell to a man we all loved
We'll forever miss the man known as Ronald Reagan
