463. Star Struck

Star struck girls walking the streets
The smell of perfume and perspiration in the air
The search for stardom and elusive success
Lays waste to those who care
To be so famous with name in lights
Is a fantasy that few will ever see
Yet thousands flock to Hollywood’s streets
To take that one chance just to be
Where is the allure that seduces the mind
Common sense dispensed and cast away
To journey forth and to take the risks
For the opportunity to be famous one day
While some may stay and others will go
Dreams fulfilled and others not to occur
Each day fills the streets with tearful eyes
Erasing lives as if they never where
