| 464. I Sing This Song I sing this song to you For giving me a love so true You saved me from my evil ways And showed me so much brighter days I was so alone when you came A wayward man just the same You looked so closely into my head You thinking friendship I thinking bed We parted quickly on that day I blinked and you went away Yet you returned to calm my soul For some reason I’ll never know No choices did I really make Forgoing my past for you to take I had found what I never knew That I’m happy with only you So hear my words in your chest Because of you I’m now my best I’d do anything to keep you near Losing you is what I most fear Take my hand in yours my paramour Because of you I’m so much more For when I pass from this here life I thank God for having you as my wife My heart is full of love and hope For without you I couldn’t cope Though you sleep and cannot hear I sing this song each night you’re near |
