468. Stoic Faces

Stoic faces so full of grace
Stony looks that do not change
They cast their eyes upon our lives
From mountain top to open range
So full of history and yet so bare
They remind us of what was once past
Created to lead and watch over us
Chiseled remembrances meant to last
If their living eyes could only see
They’d realize what they had to give
For they instilled in us the will to survive
It is because of them we do now live
