470. Gambling

I cured myself this very day
No longer do I need spinning sevens
For I realized I lost a lot of cash
No longer was I pleased at winning
While the excitement was intoxicating
It lost it’s luster when I needed the money
For when I looked and what I had lost
No longer did this habit seem very funny
I melted my player’s card in fire
The points were sent up into flames
From now on I’ll stick to competitive sports
Forgoing gambling for athletic games
