| 478. The Fair The ferris wheel twirled with excitement Young children screamed their delight Carnival music filled the air The county fair was a wonderful sight Barkers yelled about their games Dimes turning into dollars for a bear Exotic flowers and trees filled pavilions Artists painted faces and dyed kids’ hair Horses and cows were paraded for prizes Sheep and pigs to be showed and sold Musicians played every type of music Such fun for both young and old Delicious snacks filled hungry stomachs Little mouths colored by cotton candy Young mothers stuck in continuous motion Trying to clean messes with anything handy But all things do come to an end The last visitor leaves the exit way Though the fair has ended it’ll be back What a wonderful way to spend a day |
