479. Never Never Land

A simple drink was all it took
To change my world forever
I never intended I’d get drunk
And end up in the land of Never Never
How did I know Peter Pan was real
To me he was just a nursery rhyme
I should have nursed that silly drink
And saved the next one for another time
Yet I became plastered beyond compare
My brain was squishy and filled with mush
Before I knew it I was talking to a fairy
The thrill of it giving me quite a rush
Within minutes or was it hours
I found myself flying in the sky
To see the world as a human bird
In my drunken state I failed to wonder why
Then sometime later I landed somewhere
Peter Pan himself came to greet me
He welcomed me to his storybook land
And proceeded to disclose my fantasy
And so it was that I regained my youth
For no longer would I return back there
Here I remain in Never Never Land forever
To live free again without a care
