| 483. Our Cats I stood aghast at such a sight Our cats have had such a splendid time They had managed to destroy the living room But from the look on their faces it wasn’t a crime No doubt young Snickers had started it all Giving great care to investigate the plants Momma Kitty her apparent older assistant Must have helped to insure their were no ants Needless to say when the first pot fell Tumbling from high above the floor The racket must have been quite exciting For they succeeded to dump even more When quite happy with the dirty results They duo proceeded to get food on their own They ripped open fifty pounds of kitty food Spreading every kibble from carpet to entryway stone Yet not finished they found the cat nip Gingerly dusting the house just so When so high they fell fast asleep No doubt thinking of their escapades we’ve never know Though when I was about to scold them both So cute they looked cuddled and fast asleep I shrugged my shoulders and only smiled Such a small price to pay to have to clean and sweep |
