495. Seek Salvation

Seek salvation the priest cried
The church was set to burning
Infidels had attacked the village
No Christianity would they be learning
The soldiers turned and ran away
No bravery to stop the horde
They forgot to protect the innocent
No longer having trust in their own Lord
The flames grew quickly and did grow
Every home burnt to the ground
The horde moved quickly and won the day
The dead priest no longer making a sound
No malice had been ever intended
For the infidels sought only to be alone
When speaking failed they turned to war
Their opposition dumb beneath cold stone
No armies would come to save the day
For Christian heroes revel in perceived power
The Crusaders would pack and go away
No Pope would take credit for this greatest hour
