The Pool Palm trees dance in the wind Jimmy Buffet melodies touch the ears Nostrils fill with coconut fragrances Poolside tables topped with cocktails and beers The sun soaks skin already too red Children laugh with watery delight Two piece suits worn one size too small Splashes of color creating a carnival sight A day by the pool spent gleefully relaxing No outside thoughts to ruin the day Such is the life when on vacation Setting work aside and relearning to play |
