509. The Pool

Palm trees dance in the wind
Jimmy Buffet melodies touch the ears
Nostrils fill with coconut fragrances
Poolside tables topped with cocktails and beers
The sun soaks skin already too red
Children laugh with watery delight
Two piece suits worn one size too small
Splashes of color creating a carnival sight
A day by the pool spent gleefully relaxing
No outside thoughts to ruin the day
Such is the life when on vacation
Setting work aside and relearning to play
