| 526. To Be Great Greatness is not a frame of mind Nor a medal you wear on your chest It doesn’t give you discounts at stores Nor identify you as the best of the best No swagger will you quickly learn Nor will wisdom guide your words Mistakes will come all the same Regardless of the direction you steer towards A halo will not adorn your head Nor will you wear a crown of rare stone Success will not grace your life forever Nor will you never fear being all alone What it is cannot be explained at all For its coming arrives without any plan It appears when you least expect it Ordained from above and not by mortal man Forgo the quest to be the one For your actions are what make you great Treat others as you want them to treat you And greatness will greet you at some future date |
