540. Evil Twin

I can see not the frown on my face
Though I feel it pull at my skin
I’d gladly trade it for a small smile
But this day belongs to my evil twin
He comes and goes as he does please
His arrival occasioned by pangs of guilt
I fend off his coming as best I can
Giving way as my soul does fade and wilt
I seek salvation through holy water
Although He would never bless it as so
It clears the mind and eliminates confusion
Or so my evil twin would make it so
Though bonded together we are worlds apart
Despite the appearance we are the same
How does one ever regain happiness
When its loss is one’s own blame
