| 581. A Man A man has died whom they claimed a hero Salvation given by him to those who fought Speaking in tongues that hurt the eardrum Accolades given by those he once bought Cries for revenge spread all over Though disease struck down his miserable soul The martyr was gone and they needed redemption Violence renewed from words he did sow Hope exists not in hearts now blackened Evil begets nothing but sons of hell Right or wrong have no meaning to such persons The righteous deaf with truths they’ll never tell Upraised fists incite others to riot Mourning forgotten by those now dead No doves will fly with olive branches dangling Peace not possible where Jesus once tread |
