588. Casablanca

Humphrey Bogart never could have imagined
That a motion picture could have such effect
A nondescript location placed into imagination
Humans and technology would one day intersect
From desert sands with war winds blowing
To fertile valley of such a wondrous place
The stars and the moon aligned in perfection
All things possible in the shadow of God’s grace
A simple word carried through a young boy’s aging
Adolescent eyes enraptured by things so thrilling
Dreams turn to reality when souls are committed
Anything is possible when two hearts are willing
And so it is that we fall asleep on this night
Our first in a house we now call our home
Nestled happily on a street called Casablanca
An unexpected gift given for reasons never known
