| 598. A Spirit Hindered Intimacy set free by the desire to be Shackles no longer have hold of the soul A spirit hindered by the stress of living Enjoyment and happiness now possible Awakened feelings left alone in the night Reality cast aside for a world of fantasy Dreams brought to life by new experiences A future constructed from things yet to be Beating hearts tempered by long hard years Youthful exuberance pulled from the past Roads less traveled now avenues for adventure The clock ticks loudly for things that don’t last Fingers entwined as lips touch and meet again Tearful reunions bring memories of time soon gone Feelings once buried in appearances so dismal Surface so easily in a place they prefer to belong Comfort given and taken with great care The alarm signals the start of separations yet to be The contrail fades slowly as two hearts lay broken Those blind to the moment will never see |
