| 6. Tomorrow Tender moments so brief and so few Separated by lengthy passages of time A romance hidden to others with reasonable doubt Camouflaged by logic without reason or rhyme Two parts of one whole daring not to ask for too much Surviving on memories until they are reunited With pain so intense that it hurts the heart For the missed occasions and events to which they aren't invited Both vow to cut the chord of apparent discontent When alone and filled with grief and longing As each must hate the intimacy of a love that transcends life itself And feeds the soul with happiness and a sense of belonging But together once more their souls do merge Bringing forth both joy and sorrow For despite the limited boundaries of their love They will always look forward to tomorrow |
