620. All Alone

Do you dream of things that matter
Can you see my face inside your head
Are there moments when you feel my presence
Can you sense my closeness in your bed
I dream of you when I do slumber
No vision greater than that of you
My thoughts are filled as are my nostrils
I gather my sheets closer and I wish you were too
Though apart you fill my soul with such happiness
Two lives separated by distances of land and sea
Stolen moments are more than I could ever wish for
Surely fate has destined that we’ll never together be
Yet I take solace in the things I’ve been given
The gift of being in love with one I’ll never own
For when our lips touch my life is given new meaning
Such are my thoughts when I’m all alone
