| 622. Where Angels Sing I wish away all my daylight hours To close my eyes is all I desire This reality provides me nothing I care for The will to sleep is all I now aspire Through dreams I can soar above it all My mind free to wander as it might No obstacles can stop me in my journeys The only hope to be with you at night Though not real your spectral beauty is my companion Your gossamer spirit need only to smile to make my day With clasped hands we travel without worldly reason No mortal person can prevent us from meeting in this way While to touch your face is what I wish for The laws of man and religion are displeased at such thinking So I’ll spend my days knowing that you’ll be waiting Together once again where the angels do sing |
