665. Moral Fortitude

Darkness bathed in shades of gray
Tears no longer meant for crying
Truths and fantasies merged as one
Honesty soon indistinguishable from lying
The chance for redemption delayed until death
No holy book can ordain pure wisdom
Lives turned asunder by blatant disregard
Salvation not possible if hope does not come
Feigned facades create the illusion of wonder
Individual necessities forgotten by greed
Generations continue without remembering the past
The ability to accept deception passed by the father’s seed
Love lasts forever only for those thought pure
Emotions and urges restrain not desire
Visions and images distort good people
Moral fortitude no longer what we aspire
